How Colossal Electronics works
Colossal Electronics writes up electronics deals that are live on Amazon. Each review is built from the Amazon listing, the manufacturer’s published data and a generated summary of both.
How a deal gets here
A deal tracker watches for electronics with a current offer. When one of those products is listed on Amazon, we read its price straight off the Amazon listing. If we cannot read a price there, the product does not appear on the site. Nothing is picked by hand and nobody pays for a place. Right now there are 36 live reviews across 8 categories.
What we do. Record the price Amazon shows and the list price beside it, reproduce the specification table where the listing has one, and compare the product with the nearest live listings in its category.
What we don’t do.We don’t test products or use them. No page here describes hands-on experience, and we don’t publish scores or benchmarks of our own.
What the numbers mean
Every price is the one Amazon showed when we read the listing, stamped with the date and time. A discount is the gap between that price and the list price Amazon shows for the same listing. It is never measured against a figure we made up, and it is not a claim about the lowest price the product has ever had. Where Amazon shows no list price, we show no discount.
How the site is paid for
When you buy through a link here, Amazon may pay us a commission. It doesn’t change your price, and it doesn’t decide what gets covered, because coverage is automatic.
