The strongest reason to pick it is the locked-down security that keeps streaming safe and simple.
What the listing puts on the page
The paragraph below is Amazon’s own sales copy. We keep it quoted and set apart rather than folded into our text, because marketing prose and a description are not the same thing, and because what it leaves out is as useful as what it claims.

Only apps from the Amazon Appstore are available for download.
What the number is worth
Amazon publishes a single figure for this configuration, $49.99, and no separate list price beside it. That removes the usual anchor, and it is the honest reason you will find no percentage anywhere on this page. The specification has to justify the money on its own.
The listing carries an end date of 16 October 2026. Retailers pull pages early and without warning, so read that as the outer edge rather than a promise.
Against what else is on the shelf
The closest tracked listings in streaming & smart home are Amazon Fire TV Stick HD at $39.99 and Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Plus at $69.99. So this sits in the middle of its own bracket, which is usually the least interesting place to be unless the specification says otherwise.
