The claims, and what is behind them
The paragraph below is Amazon’s own sales copy. We keep it quoted and set apart rather than folded into our text, because marketing prose and a description are not the same thing, and because what it leaves out is as useful as what it claims.

The price, read properly
That is an ordinary sale price rather than a clearance, around the middle of what we see across the listings we check. It is real money off, but it is not a reason to hurry.
One caveat we will not paper over: this is measured against Amazon’s own listed price, not against the lowest figure the product has ever carried. Our record of this listing starts on 5 October 2026, so it is a comparison, not a history.
The listing carries an end date of 25 October 2026. Retailers pull pages early and without warning, so read that as the outer edge rather than a promise.
What else the tracker has at this money
The closest tracked listings in laptops are Apple 2025 MacBook Pro Laptop with Apple M5 chip with 10‑core CPU and 10‑core GPU: Built for AI at $1,839.00 and Apple - MacBook Air 15-inch Laptop - M5 chip with 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Silver at $1,299.00. So this sits in the middle of its own bracket, which is usually the least interesting place to be unless the specification says otherwise.
These are the nearest listings by price that our tracker currently holds, not a survey of the market. Anything not listed on Amazon does not appear here at all.
The strongest reason to pick it is the combination of M5 performance, 24GB memory and 1TB storage in a 15 inch body that still runs up to 18 hours.
