Reading the discount
That is a narrow gap, and it is worth being blunt about it: a cut this small is closer to price noise than to a sale. If the specification does not stand on its own at $499.00, the discount will not carry it.
One caveat we will not paper over: this is measured against Amazon’s own listed price, not against the lowest figure the product has ever carried. Our record of this listing starts on 7 September 2026, so it is a comparison, not a history.
The listing carries an end date of 27 October 2026. Retailers pull pages early and without warning, so read that as the outer edge rather than a promise.
What else the tracker has at this money
The closest tracked listings in tablets are Apple 11-inch iPad A16 Wi-Fi 128GB Tablet Yellow at $399.00 and 2025 Apple 11-inch iPad A16 Wi-Fi 128GB - Blue at $399.00. Both undercut it, so the case for paying more has to come from the table below rather than from the price.
These are the nearest listings by price that our tracker currently holds, not a survey of the market. Anything not listed on Amazon does not appear here at all.
The strongest reason to pick it is the A16 chip’s performance boost at this price point, making it a future-proof choice for daily tasks.

No. Every Colossal Electronics article is compiled from the retailer’s own listing, the manufacturer’s published data and generated summaries of that material. We do not perform hands-on testing, and no article on this site describes hands-on experience, because there is none.
Colossal Electronics earns a commission when a reader buys through a link on the site. The commission is paid by the retailer and does not change the price you pay. Products are selected automatically by the price tracker, so no retailer can buy coverage.
